Hallow Village Community Group Events

TABLE TOP SALE - Saturday 11th May - 10.30 a.m.   

Have a de-clutter and come along and sell those unwanted goods.  

Erected Tables just £8 each -  If you have any bric-a-brac to donate to the HVCG tables, we would be grateful and can collect.

D-DAY Celebrations - THEMED FAYRE on 2nd June on Hallow Playing Field    -   BEACON LIGHTING -  Thursday 6th June.    

As you may know HVCG are organising a day of celebration and remembrance on Hallow Playing field and are hoping local groups and organisations will take part, perhaps to run a game or just to showcase what they do.  The event opens with rousing music from Worcester Concert Brass, with live music throughout the day from other local bands. Attractions include childrens' carousel, chair rides, inflatable human table top football, the Gladiators pugil stick duel contest. rides on a steam train, sports, games, food and a bar.  

STALLS  As an additional attraction - we all like to mooch round stalls and will make room for a few, so if you would like to come along and sell your arty bits and pieces or specialist items, as long as its not food that could be consumed during the show, then we would love to hear from you.  Please contact Julia Ganner on julia.ganner@btinternet.com   There will be a small charge of £10 per stall.   Hallow Parish Council have generously sponsored some of the costs and will be providing security too.    PLEASE DO REMEMBER - DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE PLAYHING FIELD.     Volunteers and help will be needed on the day please contact Joy on joyfulcher@btinterent.com

D-DAY BEACON LIGHTING Thursday 6th June   

Hallow playing field.   On the actual  date we will be lighting a Beacon along with hundreds nationally at 9.15 p.m.   when we will have musical entertainment from a local group and our own Vera Lynn singing, whilst we drink a toast.    At 6.30 p.m. there will be a church service attended by members of the British Legion, other local groups and the scouts, when wreaths will be laid and flags presented.  

After which they will  process across to the field to take part.

COACH TRIP Wednesday 7th August - 8.00 a.m.   

Meet at the Crown 8.00 a.m.  Llangollen, horse drawn canal trip, time in town for lunch, then on to British Ironwork Centre for tea - the largest centre in the UK for decorative metal work, acres of sculptures featuring the Knife Angel, Spoon Gorilla and Manchester Bee.  Shops, workshops, etc.   TICKETS are just £25 which covers everything (travel, canal trip. etc,) but not food, which will be available to buy at both stops, or you could bring a picnic if you prefer. email Joy for tickets joyfulcher@btinternet.com

Monday Mornings - HALLOW BABY AND TODDLER GROUP - 10.00 a.m. - noon 

Mums, Dads, grandparents, babies and toddlers are all welcome to come along and chat to other mums over a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits. 

PARKHEATH SOCIAL CLUB, Heath Close

​(last turning on the right going North out of Hallow) Held every Wednesday 2 - 4 p.m. There is a warm welcome to all seniors, they have quizzes, bingo, entertainment and refreshments, so why not go along. Contact Jean Gosling on 01905 640819 for further details.

RSPB - WILDGOOSE NATURE RESERVE   - Beginning Birding.   Saturday 25th May, 2024 10.00  - 15.00
